Ang Paglalakbay ng Kariton ni Pablo

by Post. marcelo Ximenes

Ang paglalakbay ng Kariton ni San Pablo is one of the charitable works that we the youth from Tondo do or offer in our different apostolate areas. The purpose of this Kariton ni San Pablo is to reach out or to continue to get in touch with the little children who are abandoned by their parents in different areas.  Every month we have this Kariton ni San Pablo in different areas of our apostolate or mission. By doing this, we really try to bring these children back to the church because these children do not what to do and where to go.

One of the areas that we went on January 18, 2014 was temporary housing. Before going there we started with morning praise and we had also a short group sharing. This sharing was deepened by kuya Oggie. After the morning praise, we started to walk and bring the Kariton ni San Pablo to that area. When we reached temporary housing, we began to call the children and gathered them together. When the children came, we made them sat down and all of them were quiet, we started to pray the opening prayer together with all the children. We had some animation songs like singing and dancing with them and this animation was animated by all the youth. Before we began the catechism, one of the youth read the gospel about the talents. We started to catechize the children by asking them simple questions. Some of the children were able to answer these questions and we gave them the gifts. When we finished catechizing them, again we grouped them into five groups to have some activities. Each of these five groups presented or performed dancing and singing. We distributed the food and the cloths after the group activities.

"Therefore, the main purpose of Kariton ni San Pablo is not only to distribute or give the food and the cloths to the children but to bring them back to the church. That is why we catechized them in order to bring back them to Christ and to make them as part of our journey as Christians."
