Keep your heart open and love like a child :)

To start of the year of 2013 and as part of the formation of the Canossian Youth in Marikina. We decided to have an outreach instead of the traditional formation of sitting, listening and writing important notes from the speaker. 

It was an over night stay at Guanella Homes with special children. We play, pray, eat and learn together.

Entering the Home for Special Children is like entering the gate of Heaven. When they see you coming, they are always excited to welcome you with a smile. They’ll run and shout “ateeeeeee!”, they’ll hug you and kiss you without even asking “Anong dala mo sa akin? Anong meron ka jan para sa akin? At ang tanong na SINO KA? 

 
Hugs for no reason at all. Holding hands and asking you to just stay beside them. Calling you and say nothing but a smile.... that will make you feel special.
 
This experience with the children reminds me of the excitement of the Lord in welcoming us when we come back to His loving arms again. No questions just the words “I MISS YOU”.

These children will hurt each other, will hurt the people around them unintentionally but after few minutes they’ll forget about it and continue to play as if nothing happened and will always have the courage to smile and laugh together after it. They never blame anybody, they never find faults at others, they never judge anyone, and they never get tired embracing people.


And I believe they are called special because they are DIFFERENT in expressing their love for others. They are SPECIAL because they offer a VERY SPECIAL kind love for others. They are SPECIAL CHILDREN because they are children of God.

BE DIFFERENT.

BE SPECIAL.

BE GOD.

BE A LIVING MARK IN EACH OTHERS LIFE. :)
